Backpacking
Europe

Introduction
It’s tough to really say.  There are certain things that will be universal to any backpacker.  We
all learn what its like to stay in a hostel, get good at knowing subway systems, and scrounging
up affordable but decent meals.

socializing, if it’s a HI (Hostel International) hostel it will probably relatively quite and clean.

During the days you will see things that many people will only see in books and on TV.  You’ll
visit places older than our country on a regular bases.  You’ll see some of histories greatest
works of art and architecture.  You’ll visit cathedrals that could make an atheist religious just
because of their magnificence.

At night you will drink and laugh with amazing people from all over the world.  People that do,
not talk about doing.  You will likely have a deep understanding with these people that I haven’t
found can be justly put into words.  You will establish a deep relationship with them in a day,
and you’ll learn to value this, because the next day you or they will move on and most often
you’ll never see them again.

You’ll be tired.  Backpacking is not easy, most backpackers don’t treat it as a vacation, its
work.  You’ll try to fit in as much as you can since the opportunity doesn’t come around that
often.

You’re feet will be blistered, you’ll be dirty and sweaty, and you’ll miss home, your friends, and
your own bed.

But it will be more rewarding than I can tell you.  You will learn about yourself.  You will learn
things you had no idea you didn’t know.  You’ll understand what I mean…
