Things to Do
Europeans, most of which have long passed on, knew how churches and cathedrals should
be built.  Visiting a few of these places in Europe could make an atheist turn pious.  There huge
and beautiful.  It will make you wonder how these places could have been built in their time, let
alone ours.

Five must sees…

1.        Notre Dame – Construction began in 1163 for Paris’s Notre Dame.  Notre Dame is known
throughout the world for being among the best pieces of architecture the Gothic period has to
offer.  When visiting Notre dame, try to go at a time to hear its famous organ playing, its
amazing.

2.        Roman catholic Church – Located in Vatican City, this is the world’s largest Christian
church.  A church that is its own country…

3.        Duomo di Milano – Otherwise known as the Milan Cathedral.  A massive church with a
capacity of 40,000.  Construction began in 1386 and was completed in 1965.

4.        Westminster Abby – Officially The Collegiate Church of St Peter at Westminster,
Westminster Abbey is a must see to visitors in London, UK.  Westminster Abbey is very large
and offers many fascinating sites to visitors.

5.        Sagrada Familia – Located in Barcelona, Sagrada Familia has been under construction
for more than 125 years.  Construction bean in 1882 and is expect to continue until at least
2026.  Sagrada Familia is the masterwork of Antoni Gaudi, who dedicated the final 15 years of
his life to this project.  In regards to the time the project is taking, Gaudi responded “My client
is not in a hurry.”
Churches
