Back packing in europe, France
                 Euro-Tripping

Euro-Tripping, or back packing, has been around for decades.  Its
taking a break from life to travel to a continent and see what else is
out there.  In a Euro-trip you will meet and party with people from all
over the world, see sights that people dream about and magazines
highlight, experience totally different cultures, and experience life like
you didn't know possible, and then the next day you'll do it again
(maybe in a different country).

Life will be much harder, but far, far more rewarding.  You'll have to
worry about where you're going to sleep that night, and drool over the
thought of your next meal, while planning to go up the Eiffel Tower
with your new best friends.  You will walk the day away until your feet
can't take it anymore then drink the night away with people you've just
meet but know like brothers and sisters because of the bond that
travelers have from the common disease called Wanderlust.  The next
day they'll be gone and so will you to see other wonders of the world,
never to see each other again.

You will find yourself in another country still trying to use the bits of
pieces of language you picked up from the last country.  You will live
by the spur of the moment with a freedom like no other.  You'll meet
tons of new people and discuss where you've been and where you
are going.  You'll have the time of your life.

In any adventure it is as important to be as prepared as possible in
order to make the most out of it.  The following is a list of things to
expect and hopefully ways of making the tedious parts more livable.

              Hostels

Anyone backpacking will become quite familiar with hostels.  They
are essentially budget accommodations for people on these types of
trips.   The come in a vast variety and you really never know for sure
what to expect until you get there.  It is advisable to research them a
little before getting to the city you're going to try to find one that meets
your standards.  Some are for partiers, some are quiet, some super
clean, others you really don't want to touch anything.  Most
guidebooks give pretty good information about ones in each city and
to the right is a list of links to help you find ones that fit your needs.

              Transportation

You will encounter a variety of transportation options in the trip.
Obviously you'll have to get to Europe (most likely be plane, but feel
free to be inventive).  It is best to get your plane ticket as soon as you
know when you'll be traveling to get the best price.  If you don't know
how long you'll be staying you can get whats called an "open jaw"
ticket that lets you come back when you choose.

Once in Europe, you'll have to get to and from the countries and
cities you plan on visiting and a great way of doing this is riding trains.
You can get Eurorail passes that allow you to come and go as you
like and are generally very affordable.  Also, if you are good at
planning ahead, Europe has many low cost airlines.  I've used Ryanair
many times, there fares can literally be only a few dollars
.

Once in the cities you'll find public transportation like you probably
haven't seen before.  European cities in general have great subway
and bus systems.
